The Facilities Management Division (FMD) of the Department of Finance and Management provides services to 104 buildings comprising 2.7 million square feet. This includes administrative office buildings, the Franklin County Municipal Court building, all facilities used by the Divisions of Police and Fire, and Health Department facilities. FMD is not responsible for Recreation & Parks, Public Utilities, or Fleet Management facilities. FMD services include building maintenance, repair, and minor renovations; custodial services, provided through a combination of in-house and contractual services; and security for the downtown core office buildings. FMD customers are other City offices and agencies rather than citizens and taxpayers.
