To provide building construction project management for city agencies to cost-effectively meet operational needs.
The staff of construction management office provides support in a variety of ways. The office is headed by the Construction Manager who is responsible for the overall operation of the office. The Construction manager is supported by four project management personnel whose responsibilities lie in the day to day management of individual construction, renovation and repair projects. The office also includes the city’s energy programs coordinator as well as one support staff. The types of facilities under the purview of the office include, but are not limited to, police substations and fire stations, safety training and administration facilities, City Hall, the Main Columbus Public Health facility and associated city supported health centers, and other city office buildings.
