Contact the Financial Management Division PROGRAM MISSION:
To ensure that the City of Columbus is in fiscal and programmatic compliance with CDBG, HOME, ESG and HOPWA grant programs. The Grants Management section of the Department of Finance and Management coordinates financial and regulatory aspects of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the HOME Investment Partnership Fund (HOME), the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Grant.
The section's program management functions include preparing the annual Consolidated Plan budget, prevailing wage compliance, performing regulatory and financial monitoring of Consolidated Plan funded programs, providing technical assistance to City departments and agencies, providing cash management services, and submitting year-end performance and financial reports to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Grants Management provides for the administration of HUD's environmental review requirements for all of the above-described grants as well as other HUD grants received by the public housing authority and non-profit agencies.
In addition, Grants Management staff administers both the City's fair housing contract and the community development loan-servicing contract. |
